 Bobwhite call

Quail populations, particularly Northern bobwhite, have been declining for years, and the major factor is habitat loss. In Texas, 90% of the state is privately owned, so landowners are the key to restoring quail populations through habitat restoration and management. The Wildlife Habitat Federation serves as a model that can be replicated around the state to get landowners to work together to restore quail. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension joins other groups, such as Texas Parks and Wildlife, in educating landowners on the best habitat management techniques. Visit
